Jump over the defender(s) and into the endzone. The game is played by shooting, throwing or flicking your cap over an object (or stack of caps) that are acting as “defenders” of your opponents cap on the other side. If your cap hits your opponents cap, you score the number of points shown on your cap. The more caps you play with, the more chances you have to make a successful end zone leap.
Match corresponding bottle cap numbers with the score of the game, quarter or half to win. Use the last number under the cap to match the last number of the score of the game you are watching.
Play Example: If the score is 21-14 (numbers 1 and 4 are winners). So if you have number 81 and 44 you win.
Look under your bottle caps, check the numbers and see who can get to 100 first. If your cap doesn’t have a number, it counts as an incomplete pass, or 0. Think 100 takes too long? Play to 50. Or 72. Really, play to any number you want as long as you agree to it before play begins. Ties go to the first bottle opened.
Similar to in-between in cards, the goal of this game is to sneak through the middle of your opponent’s numbers. One person flips up two caps and the other players tries to sneak between. For example if the two bottle caps flipped up are 24 and 51. The other player needs a cap from 25-50 to sneak through and score. The player keeps running plays until his or her cap fails to make it and then the other team gets a shot.
Get enough yards to enter the end zone without going to far. Each cap counts as yardage for your team. You have to decide, before opening a bottle, whether to count the cap or rule it incomplete. The team finishing closest to 100 yards without “stepping out of the end zone” wins. If your teams goes past 100, you’ve stepped out of bounds and start over at zero yards. Game ends after a certain number of bottles, when the night ends or when one team gets exactly 100. Ties go to the team that used the most caps to get to 100.
Bottles (or glasses) are placed on the table with a narrow gap between them. The goal is to shoot your cap through the gap in the bottles so it comes to a stop in your opponent’s end zone. You can use as many or as few bottles to create the gap as you like, but each team plays using the same gap.
